Got all the way to Target, bought a furnace filter and other junk, got all the way back home, unwrapped the furnace filter, took it downstairs, swept away as many of the cobwebs as I could, and started to mash the filter into the furnace ... only to realize I had bought the wrong damn size. I bought a little portable USB hard drive, 80GB (which is four times the size of my laptop's HD!). It is adorable, all silver with a rubbery blue base and a pretty blue light that flickers when it's running, and smaller than a mass-market paperback. Works like a charm. 1. The super-fancy-schmancy weather alert radio I ordered arrived today! Now I can fall asleep during storms confident that if any warnings are issued I will be awakened by a loud, obnoxious noise. It was pricey, but it has all kinds of bells and whistles on it, plus an am/fm radio to boot.

I almost forgot to post about my Big Fashion Find over Thanksgiving. Mom and I went to Goodwill on their 50% off day, and I found a pair of Dansko shoes in my exact size, with very little wear.
